- I was in Paris this week and went to see Ike Turner at
the Lioniel Hampton Lounge in Le Madison Hotel. He did one
of the best sets I've seen him do in years, playing his
"Rocket 88", the first ever Rock & Roll song.
He also did a great blues version of Alice Cooper's "Only
Women Bleed" well as the Jazz number "Mercy,Mercy,Mercy"

sings with Ike's show wihch includes the Ike & Tina hits,"
Nutbush City Limits", "River Deep, Mountain High",
and "Proud Mary" She left the crowd yelling for more.
