Bruno Blum and singer Minelle share a moment at Le Vieux Belleville

May 5,2001 - Paris -- My friend Bruno Blum, who has a very goodFrench Regge album out now as well as a new bio of Lou Reed, took us to see Minelle sing the old styly french folk songs at the ancient Le Veiux Belleville restrauant. It is said that Edith Piaf herself as well as Maurice Chevalier and many other greats of French music history have performed here. It's still a small, hard to find place in the hills overlooking Paris, with great food and a very freindly feeling.
