Spring 2013 update - Green Day rocked the Barclay Center - Glen Matlock and Syl Sylvain played an acoustic set at City Winery - Cheap Trick and Eric Burdon played at the John Varvatos store in the former CBGB space - and Dee Snider; Barb Wire Dolls; Supla; Willie Nelson, and more!


April 1 - Glen Matlock & Syl Sylvain brought their acoustic tour to the City Winery...a great night of Sex Pistols and New York Dolls songs by the originators.

April 7 - Brooklyn - Green Day rocked out at the Barclays Center to a sold out crowd.

April 7 - Brooklyn - Green Day; Mike, Billie Joe and Tre look great backstage at the Barclays Center before the show.

April 27 - New York - The Tribeca Film Festival screened the film made by the Annenberg Space for Photography about the Who Shot Rock & Roll exhibition photographers. After the screening there was a Q&A with the film's director Steven Kochones, producer Joe Russo, curator Gail Buckland, and photographers, myself, Lynn Goldsmith and Jill Furmanovsky.

April 27 - New York - Dee Snider with his wife and son at the screening of Who Shot Rock & Roll with me and Lynn Goldsmith. Dee mentioned how he had been influenced by seeing photos of Alice Cooper, but had never seen him perform live.

April 28 - New York - John Varvatos has kept the old CBGB space rocking since he opened his store there. He often has great concerts there. Cheap Trick celebrated the 30th anniversary of 'Live at the Budokan' by playing the same set again and sounded just as good as ever. In the back alley after the show Rick Nielsen hung out with producer Jack Douglas, and John Varvatos.

May 3 - New York - Andrew W.K & Marky Ramone played many Ramones favorites at Santos Party House.

May 9 - New York - Marc Jacobs' Bookmarc on Bleecker Street hosted an exhibition of early punk scene photos by the photographers who were there at the start. Above at the opening: Janette Beckman, Laura Levine, me, Danny Fields, David Godlis, Stephanie Chernikowski, Bobby Grossman, Marcia Resnick, Roberta Bayley (who curated the show) and Leee Black Childers.

May 15 - New York- The John Varvatos store on the Bowery rocked again a few weeks after the Cheap Trick night with a high energy birthday party show by Eric Burdon.

May 16 - New York- Austin radio DJ Jody Denberg has interviewed Yoko Ono many times over the years. As a gift to Yoko for her 80th birthday we combined quotes from his interviews with my favorite Yoko photos to make a special book for her. Yoko liked the book so much she asked us to see if we could publish it. We hope to have it out next year.

May 16 - New York - Morrison Hotel Gallery hosted the first solo exhibition by famed photographer Norman Seeff. I joined Norman and Henry Diltz at the opening.

May 16 - New York - Barb Wire Dolls meet Supla backstage before their show at the Bowery Electric.

May 16 - New York - From the Greek Island of Crete, the Barb Wire Dolls have been touring the US for 2 years.

May 16 - New York - Barb Wire Dolls singer Isis writhing on the floor at their show at Bowery Electric.

May 21 - New York - Supla loaned Sami Yaffa his big chest medallion after Supla's Brothers of Brazil band opened for Sami's Mad Juana at the Bowery Electric.

June 2 - Woodstock NY - Tom Pacheco brought a sentimental set of songs to the Colony Cafe.

June 6 - New York - Willie Nelson looked happy to see his guitar shaped 80th birthday cake at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.

June 6 - New York - Four generations of the Nelson family gathered on the stage at the Hard Rock Cafe to present a musical celebration for Willie's 80th birthday!

June 8 - Hunter Mountain - Mountain Jam - Gary Clark Jr. was the act to catch at this years annual blues festival.

June 8 - Hunter Mountain - Mountain Jam - The highlight of Gov't Mule's set was when leader Warren Haynes brought on famed harmonica player Hook Herrera.
