Welcome To Bob Gruen's Home on the Web

September 2010
This month I saw Iggy Pop twice, Alice Cooper twice, Courtney Love, Blondie and John Lennon's family.....see below!

Sept. 3 - Iggy Pop was the headliner at the 'All Tomorrow's Parties' festival.

Iggy Pop was passed around by the crowd at the festival after the encore.

Sept 8 - The original Alice Cooper band reunited in a studio in New York to see how they sounded playing together after all these years.

Sept 11 - I got in a photo with Alice when he appeared at the party celebrating the 10th anniversary for John Varvatos's clothes company at John's store in the old CBGB space on the Bowery .

Handsome Dick Manitoba & Cherie Currie also appeared at the Varvatos party on the Bowery.

Legs McNeil and his girlfriend Christine party late in a New York cab.

Sept 10 - Iggy Pop played a surprise show at Don Hill's club, a very rare opportunity to see the Stooges in a very intimate setting!

Then the next night Courtney Love also played at Don Hill's club. Don has some new partners who are bringing big name acts to the small spot.

Don Hill takes a break after a very crowded week of great shows where The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs also played.

Blondie's latest world tour stopped at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square with their timeless hit songs.

Sept 16 - Sean, Yoko, Cynthia & Julian Lennon all came to see an exhibition of Julian's photographs at the Morrison Hotel Gallery on the Bowery. It was the first time all four were together in public, and everyone had a good time looking at Julian's great photos.

Sept 14 - The Jim Jones Review finished latest their tour of the U.S. at the New York club La Possion Rouge with their usual high energy rockin' show.

Yoko Ono joined Mayor Bloomberg to announce that the new American Masters documentary, 'LENNONYC' would be shown in Central Park on Oct 9th, John's 70th birthday.

The Original Wailers band came to my studio after spending a few days recording upstate in the Catskill mountains recording a new album.
