It’s been a very busy Spring. So many shows and events that I didn’t have time to put up a page for each one Now I have put up shots of Lou Reed, Jewel, Led Zeppelin,David Johansen, Sylvain, the Libertines, Craig from the Vines, English sensation Dirty Harry, sexy Comedienne Tammy Faye Starlight, Blondie, Star Spangles, Patti Smith, the Fugs and many others. Feb 14 - NYC - Jayne County gets close to Tammy Faye Starlight. They shared the bill for two days of shows at Joe's Pub in New York.

March 8 - NYC - Legendary guitar inspiration Link Wray played a rare show in New York at the Village Underground and proved that he's still got that twang.

April 30 - NYC - My friend Mick Jones of the Clash told me he produced a CD for the Libertines so I went to see them when they played at CBGB. They were great and I bought the CD, which is now my new favorite.

April 29 - NYC - Sam Moore led a real soulful show at BB King's Blues Club after the opening of the new film "Only the Strong Survive".

The Chi-Lights also appeared at the "Only the Strong Survive" party and sang their hit song "Have You Seen Her".

May 8 - NYC - David Johansen had an opening in New York at the Ricco/Maresca Gallery featuring his paintings of "Saints & Sinners".

May 18 - NYC - The Star Spangles appeared at the Irving Plaza opening for the Datsons. The Star Spangles are getting very popular this Summer and are touring Europe and Japan.

June 16 - NYC - Multi-platinum recording artist Jewel came to the FYE store on 6th Avenue in New York to sign copies of her new CD "0304".

May 27 - NYC - Jimmy Page arrived at the opening for the release of the Led Zeppelin movie "The Song Remains The Same" on a DVD.

July 2 - Seabright, NJ - Blondie played at the Tradewinds club in Seabright, NJ to warm up for their summer tour of Japan and Australia. It was cool to see them in a small club when the rest of the Summer they will be appearing mostly at Festivals.

July 1 - NYC - Avant-Guarde French band Magma played in New York for only the third time in their more than 30 year history. They can't be described, as they sing in a made up language with a very varied musical background.

It was quite a moment to see Patti sing "Free Money" and "People Have the Power" surrounded there by the buildings and people of Wall Street.

July 11 - NYC - Chris Robinson opened the show at Central Park's Summerstage July 11 and the fans cheered as he kept playing through a thunderstorm. His beautiful wife Kate Hudson was there with him, lookin' good and expecting their baby next January.

July 11 - NYC - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club rocked at the Coral Room in New York. The club was packed as the band played a long loud set while mermaids swam in the giant fish tank behind the bar.

July 16 - NYC - Tuli Kupferberg and Ed Sanders founded the Fugs in 1964 and were the inspiration for all of the underground, irreverent rock bands that followed. They have just released their first CD in 16 years "The Fugs Final Album, Part 1" and they played at the Village Underground in New York to celebrate. They were great, still questioning the powers that be with a set that mixed new songs with their old favorites.
