Feb 24 - NYC - (L-R) Iggy Pop, Jimmy Webb, Iggy's wife Nina Alu, Debbie Harry, Susan Holmes and her husband Duff McKagen of Guns ’N Roses, at Jimmy's store “I Need More”,  where Iggy and Debbie pressed their hands and feet into concrete squares on the floor of the store for Jimmy. June 28 - Crete, Greece - Punk rockers, the Barb Wire Dolls invited us to visit them at their home in Crete. We spent most of our time with them on the beach in Iraklion.

Feb 26 - NYC - Billie Joe starred in the American Idiot play in January and February as St. Jimmy. It was really great to see Billie Joe in a dramatic role. He may come back to the show in April.

Sept 16 - NYC - Sean, Yoko, Cynthia & Julian Lennon all came to see an exhibition of Julian's photographs at the Morrison Hotel Gallery on the Bowery. It was the first time all four were together in public, and everyone had a good time looking at Julian's great photos.

Oct 27 - NYC - Alice Cooper came to New York to inspire us to dress up and act out for Halloween. Instead of the large theatrical props for which he's famous, Alice had a hard rockin' band and played a set full of hits (he has a lot of them). He showed the cheering sold out audience that he's a master of mayhem.

  • Bob Gruen is one of the most well known and respected photographers in Rock and Roll. By the mid ’70s he was already regarded as one of the foremost documenters of the scene working with major attractions such as John Lennon & Yoko Ono, Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Elton John, Kiss etc., and also covering the emerging New Wave and Punk bands including The New York Dolls, Patti Smith, Clash, Sex Pistols, Ramones & Blondie.
