I was asked to be on a panel about Rock Photography at the SXSW festival so I went to Austin for the first time this year. More than 2000 bands play there over 5 days, most of them more than once, so it’s a circus of music overload. If you see 10 shows a day you still miss 490! I managed to have a great time seeing mostly old friends and some new ones too.
Sheena & the Rokkets were among the many bands at the Fuji Rock Festival. In spite of the rain, more than 100,000 people came to dance to the music and had a great time. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame held their Eighteenth Annual Induction Dinner in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. It is always a great evening as some of the world’s biggest music stars come to honor their heroes.
